Introduction:
The instrument is manufactured based on national standards " mercaptan sulfur distillate fuels assay (potentiometric titration)". For the determination of the content of mercaptan sulfur, range from 0.0003 to 0.01% (m / m) of no-sulfide hydrogen jet fuel, gasoline, kerosene and light diesel oil. When Elemental sulfur content is more than 0.0005% (m / m) there is interference.
The instrument system dissolved no-sulfide hydrogen sample in isopropanol solvent of sodium acetate, potentiometric titration with silver nitrate alcohol standard solution, with a glass reference electrode and silver - sulphide-silver indicator electrode potential jumps into titration end. During the titration, the mercaptan sulfur precipitates as mercaptans and silver.
The instrument is composed of digital millivolt meter (PHS pH, mV and night), titration devices, speed magnetic stirrer and stainless-steel frame and other components, and is equipped with a reference electrode and the measuring electrode, results can be directly measured.
