The evaporation rate is influenced by the energy that has been absorbed and the speed of the vacuum pump. A relatively large evaporation surface area of a sample, rather than the sample capacity and quantity, is the bottleneck than affect the efficiency of the vacuum pump. Therefore, instead of using bigger vacuum pumps, employ the cold trap more efficiently. The application of the cold trap helps to condense vapors on the one hand and enhance then evaporation density of organic solutions for better condensation.
